Village One Centers To Climb In 130 Gps From Chamarajanagar | Mysore News


MYSURU: Chamarajanagar The district administration is making all the preparations to launch Village One centers throughout the district with the aim of bringing all government services together under one roof. The implementation of the program will help villagers to get government services at their doorstep without going to government offices.
The launch of the Village One centers will be a boon for the villagers in the backward border district where they struggle for transport and other basic facilities. The district administration has also started offering training to unemployed young people selected to run these centres.
Villagers, who went to government offices in their taluk and district after traveling several miles to do their jobs, can now benefit from government services such as obtaining caste, income, birth certificates and death, pension applications at their doorstep via Village One centres.
The district administration of Chamarajanagar will set up these centers in the 130 general practitioners with the support of the online service Seva Sindhu Project. The latter will provide space, install computers, scanners, printers, biometric thumbprint collection machine, electricity and internet facility to facilitate the operations of the centers in the five taluks of the district. .
Chamarajanagar Seva Sindhu district project manager Nanjundaswamy told TOI that in the initial phase, Village One centers will help the public to avail more than 35 government services at their doorstep.
Applications received
As a district administration and Zilla Panchayat have given permission to offer the services in the centers, the Seva Sindhu platform has already started receiving applications on services related to income, agriculture, horticulture and other departments, did he declare. “It will be extended to all GPs once operator training is complete,” he added.
The operators, who receive the application forms in these centers, will forward the electronic applications to the relevant departments for further processing. The applicant receives messages at each stage of the application process on their registered mobile number. After the work is completed, applicants can pick up the certificates or related documents at Village One center after 7-15 days. The center will be open to the public from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on working days, he said.
Speaking to TOI, Additional Deputy Commissioner Katyinidevi said that Deputy Commissioner Charulatha Somal has authorized the Seva Sindhu platform to provide services to the public through Village One centers. “The DC also inaugurated operator training. Instructions have been given to operators to ensure hassle-free service to the public without having them move from pillar to post. Instructions were also given to them to display the list of services and prices in each centre. The program aims not only to remove the role of intermediaries, but also to end corruption, save money and time,” she said.
