Samsung Unveils New V7 Ultrasound System

Samsung today introduced its V7 ultrasound machine, having recently obtained FDA 510(k) clearance for commercial use.

Boston Imaging, based in Danvers, Mass., the US headquarters for Samsung’s digital x-ray and ultrasound business, unveiled the platform. He designed the ultrasound system to provide a range of clinical applications, enhancing the patient and user experience.

“Imaging professionals are constantly challenged to deliver high-quality results in an efficient timeframe, without compromising patient care,” said David Legg, vice president, director of Boston Imaging. “We are proud to help solve this problem by providing an additional solution that makes clinical assessments effortless and treatment accurate. »

V7 includes improved image clarity thanks to Samsung Crystal Architecture. It combines CrystalBeam beamforming, CrystalLive image processing and S-Vue monocrystalline transducers. Altogether, this helps the V7 produce clear, uniform, high-resolution images.

Samsung has redesigned the V7 by putting workflow, performance and functionality first. It includes EzExam+ and EzCompare to minimize steps and keystrokes. It also applies an eco-friendly resin cover to cover the outside of the air vent, and a reusable eco-friendly paper wrapper from recycled paper.

The company has also equipped the V7 with a range of smart assist features for general imaging and female health ultrasounds.

Samsung Intelligent Assist offers

  • 2D follicle: An automated measurement tool. It provides information about follicle status during gynecological examinations by identifying and measuring follicle size based on 2D image.
  • AutoIMT: A screening tool to analyze a patient’s potential risk of cardiovascular disease.
  • S-Shearwave Imaging: A tool that provides non-invasive quantitative assessment and documentation of tissue stiffness. This is for clinical applications including breast and liver.
  • Uterine help: An artificial intelligence technology that automatically measures the size and shape of the uterus, helping to detect signs of uterus-related abnormalities.
  • E-Cervix: An innovative elastography technology that provides an effective semi-quantitative assessment of cervical canal stiffness.
