Everton’s new 2022/23 away kit again pays homage to the iconic Prince Rupert’s Tower – with a modern twist.
The away shirt, in an eye-catching rose blossom, features a distinctive patriot blue pattern inspired by the sloping roof of the tower in the Club crest – and amplified in a cool geometric print for 2022.
The away shirt is completed with a tonal Club crest and a patriot blue round neckline, with pink trim and square sleeves.
Mirroring the home kit, the four traditional hummel chevrons along the arms are reduced to two, providing a stark contrast to the sheath.
The neck also features Prince Rupert’s famous tower motif, which is integral to the overall branding of this year’s kit.
The blue shorts see the jersey’s two chevrons replicated, this time in pink, with the hummel logo moving from the front to the back of the right leg, providing a clean and fresh look. The shorts mirror the side panels of the shirt, via pink mesh panels.
The socks are rose flower pink with patriot blue trim, featuring two hummel chevrons in the front and the tower in the back.
The 2022/23 away goalkeeper shirt, only available in short sleeves, is black with a fuchsia pink design, which runs from one side of the shirt to the other, indicating disruptive movement and agility. The jersey has plain black short sleeves with two fuchsia pink chevrons and a tone-on-tone Club crest.
The shorts and socks are black with hot pink trim and feature the two hummel chevrons in the front and the tower in the back.

The kit will be worn for the first time when Everton’s first team take part in their second pre-season friendly in the USA, against Minnesota United of Adrian Heath on Wednesday, July 20 (kick-off 7 p.m. CT, 1 a.m. BST).
The kit will be available to fans in the United States for purchase at Allianz Field on match night.
All of our 2022/23 kits are produced using the same Eco 8 process as previous hummel Everton kits. Each jersey is made from eight bottles and uses minimal water in the dyeing process, supporting the Club’s ongoing commitment to its Everton for Change environmental campaign.
Richard Kenyon, Director of Communications, Revenue and International Growth at Everton, said: “We are really delighted with the design of this away kit, which combines some of our club’s traditional colors with a vibrant modern graphic of the tower taken from our club crest.
“This is another powerful kit developed by hummel and we hope it gets the same kind of positive response from our supporters as the home kit when it launched a few weeks ago.”
Allan Vad Nielsen, CEO of hummel, added: “Being bold and playful is part of our DNA, and like us, Everton are a club that likes to do things differently and always with a lot of character.
“It’s also why we’re delighted to have worked closely with the club to create a kit that we believe will go down in history as one of the most daring away kits of all time.
“As a fan, you always look forward to the reveal of a new kit, and we hope this one will be well received by all Evertonians around the world.”
