Context of the joint venture
The Philippines has seen an increase in logistics flows thanks to several years of solid economic growth. However, numerous delivery time and cost issues have arisen, including shortages of delivery drivers, severe and chronic congestion in the city center, and delays in the delivery mechanism infrastructure. At the same time, due to the impact of the current Covid-19 pandemic, online shopping and food delivery have seen a surge in usage, and delivery challenges are becoming increasingly more serious.
In anticipation of overcoming these challenges and the expected continued growth of delivery in the future, the three partners have established a joint venture based in the Philippines and will provide a delivery logistics and correspondence service targeting Last Mile 1 logistics.
